September Ambassador Update
Dear Brethren,
Welcome to September! I hope you had a wonderful summer. Some lodges “go dark” during the summer months while others continue meeting, furthering the goals of the great fraternity and their community. Whatever the case may be, Fall is known as the season of change. Whether it is finding a new slate of new officers, or simply family going back to their normal routines as the kids go back to school. We as an organization also go through changes. We are excited to share some recent news and updates from the George Washington Masonic National Memorial.
Leadership Transition
On August 18th, we bid farewell to George D. Seghers, our dedicated Executive Director of twenty-four years. George Seghers played a vital role in advancing the Memorial's mission during his tenure. As some of you might recall from the Cornerstone Rededication event in February, we unveiled a bust in his honor, commemorating his contributions to the Memorial and the Masonic community.If you wish to send George Seghers a letter, we will gladly ensure he receives it.

Introducing Karl V. Hopkins
We are delighted to welcome our new Executive Director, Karl V. Hopkins. Karl brings a wealth of experience to our team, with a background in risk management, business intelligence, and cyber security. He is the current Worshipful Master of the Lodge of the Nine Muses No. 1776, a District of Columbia-chartered lodge, and is a member of various Masonic bodies.

Additionally, we offer a beautiful Cornerstone Medallion and a Replica of the Trowel George Washington used to lay the cornerstone of the U.S. Capitol in 1793.
