Pyramid Work Begins
In the summer of 2014, a massive restoration project was about to begin: the internal and external repair of the stepped Pyramid level of the Memorial. While the Pyramid looked adequate from afar, the above photograph from June 15 reveals the need for serious repairs.
The even more detailed photo below shows our crew beginning to erect the scaffolding that would enable the needed repairs to take place, June 26, 2014.
