Most Worshipful Brother William Douglas Dreaden, Grand Master
The Grand Lodge of Tennessee is deeply committed to charitable endeavors. Through the Tennessee Masonic Charities Foundation, it supports a range of initiatives, including scholarships for students, disaster relief, and community service programs. The Grand Lodge also partners with the Tennessee Masonic Widows’ and Orphans’ Home, providing care and support for Masonic families in need. Additionally, the fraternity promotes youth development through its support of organizations like the Order of DeMolay and Job’s Daughters, fostering leadership and moral values in the next generation.
Established on Saint John’s Day, December 27, 1813, in Knoxville, the Grand Lodge of Tennessee is comprised of around 300 Masonic lodges, and about 30,000 members. Prominent Tennessee Masons include Brothers Andrew Jackson, Andrew Johnson, and James Polk, seventh, eleventh, and seventeenth Presidents of the United States, respectively, singer Roy Acuff, twenty-eight Governors of Tennessee, and many members of the United States Congress.
