Maintenance Worker

Performing general and specific cleaning and maintenance of offices, rental rooms, restrooms and exhibits, exterior entrances, grounds, parking lot and other areas as assigned. Set up and break down for special events, supervising and working with vendors during special events and other duties assigned by the Executive Director.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, perform all levels of physical work including lifting 25-50 pounds. Reading, writing, and conversing in English.
  • Positive attitude and customer service orientation. Commitment to professional conduct, compliance with policies and practices, and security procedures.
  • Availability and willingness to work during emergency situations: for example, staffing shortages, snow removal, inclement weather.

This is part-time job evolving to full time. Evening and weekends availability. Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.

Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour

Tour Guide

The George Washington Masonic National Memorial seeks a Tour Guide available weekdays and some weekends. Our tours are one hour in length and explore the many rooms and galleries of the museum while explaining important aspects of George Washington's history and the American Masonic heritage.

Tours are learned from a script and relayed to the public in a clear, professional, and friendly manner. Tour Guides welcome and direct visitors, process admission sales, provide an informative experience on tour, and work in a team to assist visitors and ensure policies are followed.

This position provides experience in public speaking, customer service and ticketing sales.

This is a part-time position at $10.00/hr. New hires may also be interested in assisting with evening events or Gift Shop Attendant positions for additional hours.
