Visitor Parking for the Centennial Cornerstone Reenactment

Several parking lots have been secured for the February 20, 2023, parade and cornerstone ceremony. While there will be no on-site parking at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial, three nearby parking lots will accommodate personal vehicles, while one will accommodate buses.

Personal Vehicle Lots

Lot 1. Alexandria City High School (formerly T. C. Williams High School), 3330 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22302. 1.6 miles. Personal vehicles only—no bus parking. Park inside the parking garage. The shuttle pickup location is at the circle in front of the parking garage.

Lot 2. First Baptist Church, 2932 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22302. 1.1 miles.  Personal vehicles only—no bus parking. Park in the west parking area (right side of the church).

Lot 3. Alexandria Scottish Rite Temple, 1430 West Braddock Road, VA 22302. 1.9 miles. Personal vehicles only—no bus parking. Park in west parking area (right side of the temple).

Shuttle service from these lots to the Memorial will run from the above three lots from 12:15 p.m. to 3 p.m. Shuttles will run approximately every 20 minutes. Return shuttle trips will begin following the event.

Additional Parking Options. There are numerous commercial parking garages in Alexandria near the Memorial. If you use one of these, please remember to allow adequate time to walk to your destination.

Overnight Parking. These lots do not support overnight parking. Please use one of Alexandria’s commercial parking garages if parking for more than the afternoon's events.

Bus Parking

Buses and coaches will park in the large lot at the corner of Stovall Street and Eisenhower Avenue. Enter the lot from Pershing Avenue. The nearby Eisenhower Metro station allows for easy access to the day’s events:

  1. Groups participating in the parade will take the Metro line to the Braddock Street Metro station, which is very near the parade assembly area. Each parade group will then follow the directions they have received from the parade officials.
  2. Groups arriving by bus but not participating in the parade will take the Metro line one stop north to the King Street station. From there, they may proceed directly to the George Washington Masonic National Memorial.
